Lost in the City Lights is the debut album by the synthesizer driven band The New Cities from Trois-Riveres, Quebec.
The album was produced by Greg Nori previously the lead vocalist for Treble Charger and recently he has produced albums for the bands Sum 41 and Hedley.
The first single “Dead end Countdown” has achieved ranking on much music’s countdown and subsequent regular rotation on the music video channel. The New Cities cite influences like Dépêche Mode and Daft Punk and the album has a very digital dance vibe, sadly like most dance albums, it plays through like it’s one long song. The music is something akin to the music of bands like Metro Station and Panic At The Disco however, Dave “rave” Ogilvie who mixed the album and has done remixes for artists like Tool, Nine Inch Nails, and Marilyn Manson, mixed the album in a much more dance like fashion.
